We're kicking the door down of the nearest disco with the dancefloor anthem "El Saif", which takes the band's shoegaze sound into "Sandinista!" mode, combining elements of dabke, bollywood and latin music in a cascade of noise rock guitars, that go from bright 12 strings to absolute filthy sludge in a vibrant and hypnotic spell that could only be completed with the help of the album's producer Thomas Attar (of Al-Qasar fame) who also takes part in stabbing your eardrums with two corrosive guitar solos worthy of being played on top of a mountain with hair blowing in the wind. An absolute epic, filled with drama, psychosis, bloodlust and revenge, where a woman swears to haunt her beloved until death if he ever deceives her. A song that could also definitely impale the Arctic Monkeys' "Brianstorm" and still drive it to the hospital.
