“Impérios da Devastação” is the first single from "Atlântico", the new album by Portuguese singer and composer Manuel Linhares, to be released June 12th on Brooklyn based label 577 Records.

Recorded in New York at Studio 42, with musical production by the remarkable Brazilian producer António Loureiro, the track brings together an extraordinary international line-up of musicians.

On this song:
Manuel Linhares - vocals and composition
António Loureiro - drums, synth and keys
Glenn Zaleski - piano
Keita Ogawa - percussion
Gil Silva - tenor saxophone

“Impérios da Devastação” reflects on the strange times we are living through — a world that presents itself as modern, civilized, and peaceful, while remaining deeply marked by oppression, violence, destruction, and imbalance beneath the surface. The song lives inside that contrast between apparent tranquility and inner collapse.
