In the narrow alleys of Maputo, amidst dust and crowds, there is a heartbeat that never stops: the chapa. More than just a mode of transport, it’s a microcosm of the city, where lives intersect to the rhythm of roaring engines and voices echoing in unison. Inspired by this relentless pulse, Throes + The Shine bring “Chapa” to life with an explosive fusion of frantic beats, vibrant melodies, and lyrics that transport the listener straight into a packed chapa during rush hour.
With this new track, the Luso-Angolan trio once again proves their ability to capture the spirit of urban spaces and translate it into music, offering an irresistible invitation to embark on this sonic journey.
