“Throwdown” é o primeiro single de AWEN.
Um confronto silencioso com o peso invisível do quotidiano — obrigações, expectativas, heranças emocionais que não escolhemos, mas carregamos.

Não é um grito.
É o momento em que o indivíduo deixa de ceder por dentro.
Este é o início.

“Throwdown” is the first single by AWEN.
A silent confrontation with the invisible weight of everyday life — obligations, expectations, emotional inheritances we did not choose, yet continue to carry.

It is not a scream.
It is the moment the individual stops surrendering from within.

This is the beginning.

Lyrics

Drifting faster than I ever knew
Luck has left for good
Stepping closer to the edge
A sign that I can't take the guilt
Clouded mind, never mind
The crossroads that you try to find
Heavy heart, faded breath as the dogs pull me under

Mark my name on the wall
Reason died a long time ago

I'm not feeling
Feeling anymore
Hurt takes over
Over what I know
Restless - Forever - Helpless - Forever

Overnight, every time
Into that dark side that blinds you
With no signs, that define
The one that drags him down

Take and take and feel the hand that emerges
Clouded mind, forced to find a way to go

LYRICS
Dumb man looking all important
Sleepwalking above the haze
Dumb man buried in your own shit
Deluding life in so many ways
Overwhelmed by your own ambitions
Blinded by an absent future
Castaway like a leprous limb
Dress code fits on a perfect vulture

Will you feel it, bring them all to life
Unstable, one of a kind

Messengers trying to deceive you
Time to set this world ablaze
Chasing lies on an endless road
Praising gods that are not your own

Do you see the hanging rope?
She will fit you well, you misanthrope

LYRICS:
Got to get my knife
The party's starting
Beggars pledge for life
Hell's already crowded
Hanging to the cross
Like a superstition
God knows

See where you are
I feel it crowded
No one will start
What’s already started

Gone against the weather

Got to get my knife
The party's starting
Beggars pledge for life
Hell's already crowded
Hanging to the cross
Like a superstition
God knows
So it comes undone
Voices oozing out the faulty stereo

Gone against the weather
Chasing storms, we rise together

LYRICS:
Drove against the wind again
Can’t recall my name

Claim!
My innocence
Praise!
My dissonance
Take!
My forgiveness
Take it all out

Drove against the wind again
Passed my only friend

Life is where?
Don’t know…

-

Kid's too good with a knife
Dad's in trouble
Air carved deep with a drive, he's mad
Back turned, matador on all fours
Slick for his age
Intermittent handover
Makes sense at that age
Howls wit, day ends
Sheets dry on body paint
Eyes wide, he's present
Dispatch, aim high
Idle fare
Dispatch, aim high
Idle fare
You're the crown prince
I'm the trespasser
Mouth to mouth
In rune and measure
Posed in grief he's tired
Lies in broken home,
Broken heart

Albert Fish - Apathy.
From "Strongly Not Recommended" album (Raging Planet, 2020)

Video: Olhosazumbir
Edition: Eduardo Horta

Apathy

They make trips and meetings
and go everywhere for nothing
Things remain the same and
they keep throwing sand to our eyes

We follow along believing that
if things don´t change
well it´s not because they don´t want to
but because they can´t do more

But is time to take back
the control of our lives
and just let go this apathy

But in fact things don´t change
because we don´t take a stand
and let the ones who rule
make what they want of our lives!

Albert Fish - 2024

A canção é rápida como rapidamente acontecem as coisas que prometem mais do que dão. Mas aqui a vantagem é que o tédio não tem hipótese de se instalar: num minuto e meio há tempo para mosh pit, refrão melódico e finalzinho trap xunga. O videoclip que acompanha o “Clickbait” foi realizado pelo Wesley Ferreira em homenagem ao “This is the end of the world as we know it” dos R.E.M.

Letra:
Leva
Segue estrada
Com tudo aquilo que odeias em mim

Atroz
O pensamento
Condena-me nesse acesso de raiva

Não há mais solução,
Condenados desde início,
Então agora levanta a espada
E traz o suplício

Sei o que sou para ti
Sou apenas um reles
Reflexo de algo
Que abominas

Por trás do silêncio,
Mora o desprezo
E a agonia ainda cai
Neste corpo morto que jaz

Não há mais solução,
Condenados desde início,
Então agora levanta a espada
E traz o suplício

Com um golpe fugaz
Invoca a dissolução
Faz aquilo que sempre fizeste
E esmaga o meu coração

Abomina e corrompe o ser

Leva
Segue estrada
Com tudo aquilo que odeias em mim

Atroz
O pensamento
Condena-me nesse acesso de raiva

Vai
E leva o tempo
Que na investida foi perdido

No fim
Irás entender
Tudo o que deitaste a perder

Não há mais solução,
Condenados desde início,
Então agora levanta a espada
E traz o suplício

Com um golpe fugaz
Invoca a dissolução
Faz aquilo que sempre fizeste
E esmaga o meu coração

Sei o que sou para ti
Sou apenas um reles
Reflexo de algo
Que abominas

Por trás do silêncio,
Mora o desprezo
E a agonia ainda cai
Neste corpo morto que jaz
Já não podes voltar atrás

Lyrics
Fascist, traitor
Shoving bodies down, you never quit,
You don’t ever, sever
Another version of me just earned a statue

Tangled up
Inside this storm
No advice, no air for us to breathe
Lights turned out, turned it off
And you’ve given
And you’ve given
And finally, they saw the light
Between bodies and orders
Voices of a lunatic
And you’ve given
And you’ve given

Peasants dancing on my grave
I got to cut it down - cut it
Restless souls whitout without a name
I got to cut it down - cut it down
Will this burden live forever?
I got to cut it down - cut it
Reality slaps, you’re still the beggar
I got to cut it down - cut it down

Words, pass by
Distant voices, distant lives
Taking down all the dreams they had
And you’ve given
And you’ve given

And all alone
He imagine,
What will he take
What will he break
The sadness screams, she screams
And you’ve given
And you’ve given

You will silence them
But someone will testify it
And finally you will be all alone

Lyrics

Vengeance as begun
Cold and sharp
Justice has been left behind
Smooth like your skin
Sinking in
And now it’s time to let you

Go. You. Are. Done

Karma is coming slowly after you
Realize what we have being through
Every time you painted one more lie (We had enough)
Finally I’m no more by your side (I had enough)

Shadows dance aligned
Painted past, ‘cause
All was full of life
Ripping innocence
Silently, they whisper
Telling me to let...

Karma is coming slowly after you
‘Cause there is nothing, nothing else
That I will take, so take it all
There is nothing left aside
So feel it, let it fall
'Cause there's nothing, nothing left
So let it be, so take it all
So let it fall

LYRICS:
Call it rage, or call it love
It's the war inside my head
What I've learned, what I've lost
It's the time we've spent together!

All the freedom in your mind
Could save the world from being broken
All the love, in your eyes
It was pure as those moments!

It's like I'm always a day away!
Like I'm always afraid to say!
I know we'll meet again someday!

I only needed this feeling again
A reason to scream and to smile in the end!

It's like I'm always a day away!
Like I'm always afraid to say!
And I'll never forget those days!
I know we'll meet again someway!
