Watch Icosandria's brand new track "A Scarlet Lunar Glow Pt 1", which is taken from the upcoming album 'A Scarlet Lunar Glow'. Release date: April 7, 2024.

"A Scarlet Lunar Glow," Icosandria 's inaugural opus, unfolds its melodic tapestry as the ethereal sequel to their EP odyssey. Within its lyrical constellations, the album gracefully orbits the conceptual nexus of cosmic horror — a symbolic vessel navigating the turbulent seas of individual perspectives, entwined with the tendrils of depression and anxiety. Like a celestial ballet, the songs become metaphors, tracing the delicate trajectory of coming of age amid the enigmatic symphony of existence in this world. Each note resonates as a luminous constellation, casting shadows that echo the profound and poetic exploration of the human condition.

Official video for Spiralist's single "The Deepest Abyss", off of his debut full-length album, "Nihilus", out on May the 4th 2018 through Microfome.

Shot in Valongo, Portugal, in the studios of Mestria in late 2017, "The Deepest Abyss" is a long, gritty and metaphorical look at the psychological desintegration that depression and isolation provide. In it, a gracious dancer (the embodiment of the video's themes) unleashes chaos on an artist's work space, spreading black ink across the studio and burning notes of ideas and pictures of happy memories, while the artist holds on to a black dog, in itself a highly metaphorical image.

Directed by the team of Mestria and edited by Mestria and Spiralist, the video features Catarina Soeiro as the dancer (whose performance itself was directed by Marquesa Giraud), blending tradicional dancing with a visceral performance. The video also features Spiralist himself as the artist, and his dog Luna.

The video echoes the album's themes of depression, isolation and anxiety, and serves as the album's ultimate visual statement.

MISANTROPIA
Encontro o caminho na escuridao
Eterno poder, sabedoria
Sigo em frente, nao olho para tras
Rejeito os meus sonhos
Minha alma morrera...em lagrimas!

Colapso com lobos do tempo
Sem esperanca de um mundo melhor
Quero gritar forte
Sacar este odio que esta dentro de mim!!!

Sozinho no meu castelo
Ergo a magia da solidao
Ja nao posso ver gente
O cheiro a hipocrisia e.....imundo!!!

Encontro o prazer na solidao
Em que me vejo dia a dia
Ja nao consigo tolerar a humanidade
E a hipocrisia do mundo
A minha alma esta vazia
E o odio corre nas minhas veias
Lucifer mestre do mundo
Guia-me ate a luz!

Misantropia, Odio eterno
Misantropia, Trono real.

Vivo no odio e na angustia de sair do meu obscuro conforto
Sem vontade de socializar com os rebanhos hipocritas da terra
Porem, nao me sinto triste tenho comigo o prazer do auto conhecimento
Desfrutando do silencio na frialdade esperando apenas ...pela morte!!!

Info -
Gaerea have turned the genre of black metal on its head. While most rehash the classic sound, this Portuguese band take it forward and seamlessly integrate influences from other genres like hardcore and sludge. Sonically defiant and cohesive, Gaerea smash preconceived notions and deliver music they can call their own. 'Unsettling Whispers' is the much awaited full length album coming after their universally lauded self-titled EP. Transcending Obscurity Records will be putting it out on multiple formats with excellent packaging that includes gatefold LP, alternate artwork box set and 8-panel digipak with a 20-page booklet. Artful, stirring and deeply immersive, Gaerea are a band to watch out for. Their treatment of the music is not only meticulous but also unforgettable.

This is darkened, dissonant yet furious black metal.

"The result was something as pathetic as a puppet and as magnificent as the stars, something at once dead and never dying, a thing utterly without destiny and thus imperishable, possessing that abysmal absence of mind, that infinite vacuity which is the essence of all that is immortal." Lyrics:
No oppression on the horizon
Not a single lie spit by tongue
As an aimless vagabond I fall
Addicted to lethal life, it’s so magnificent

The great boundary among the enlightened
Their blackened visions feed from thy memorials

Provocative veil is lifted
Vain, avaricious, dead
Their Irony exceeds them
And the cost: Everything

Grotesque flaws
Everyday neuroses
The sound of silence relieves me!
Consumes me!
Inflicting Chaos. To Ain!
Nothing he believes is real
As I keep sliding back to life.

This is my last flight
Still, silent, serene

Howls from the past
And the birds are not flying high
A muted scream suffocates my mind

Is lethargy keeping us alive?
I will not let these flames take me.

Sunrise behind the curtain so peaceful of
mind
He’s a fantasist.
A wanderer of the Void

I learned not to fear infinity
Seems more like a burden than a source of joy
Going up the stairs
I tend to jump through the fields of glass
These are the colors
Colors of Eternity

One by one
With arms wide open
We will fall
To Ain!

Chilling whispers, teardrops you won’t hear the calling
Weeping rivers, flowing in haunting seas
In waves
Out of key you are, you’re so...
This golden dawn will dive with me.

Along the shining idols
Twinkle the milky way of life,
Stretched to the point of never-ending line
Ten thousand stories remain untold
I hate mankind, for I am
one of the best of them
And I know how bad I am.

What is a man?
A miserable pile of secrets
Cold and vacant
The strange, uncanny, mysterious

And as I fall Into the abyss of this mundane world

I stare and glare, my boundless extent
One by one
With arms wide open
We will fall
To Ain!
