WASTE DISPOSAL MACHINE | CHIMÆRA
2024 Ragingplanet & Chaosphere Recordings (AS/RP389 / CHAOSCP037)
Video: Pedro Alves

[ENG] “Chimæra” is Waste Disposal Machine’s third album and “Dumb Persistence” is its promotional video-single.
A chimera is a mythical monstrous figure, commonly a hybrid of three animals (lion's head, goat's body and serpent's tail); it can also be an organism composed of cells with diverse genetic constitution or, still, an illusion, a dream, an idea, or an unattainable hope. Let's focus on the third definition and on that idea or, perhaps, dream of one day ceasing to try to escape from a reality covered in manipulation and social discomfort where no matter how many years we walk, it always seems like we're not making progress.
"Chimæra" features collaborations by Birds are Indie, Bill Rivers, and Rute Fevereiro. It was recorded, mixed, and mastered at The Pentagon Audio Manufacturers, produced by Fernando Matias and the band itself, and will be released on April 24, 2024, in a joint edition by Ragingplanet and Chaosphere Recordings.

Lyrics / letra

Sanitised states devoid of sanity
Safety and security, hygiene and entertainment
No brutality, no savagery
Can come upon us, unexpectedly

We get so high in degradation
We get a kick from this dumb persistence
We get so high, we get a kick
We get a kick…

Bred on chemicals, in insulated quarters
We are the ranting crowd, the lawless multitude
No quiet happiness (n)or exploding joy
Can befall upon us unexpectedly

Lyrics:
A Grave To Be Dug

A simple act of violence can make me lose my mind
I stare into the void contemplating all I left behind
No vision, no sorrow, the story now unfolds
A grave as to be dug to bury all the fears I hold

I´ve fallen from the throne
I have been left alone
The signs are there, I see
Six feet will bury me

I try to see beyond and make it all to be untrue
My fear of death is less than my fear of you
It´s dark, it´s cold, the story now unfolds
A grave as to be dug to bury all the fears I hold

No time to take all the hate with me
Have to leave something behind
Collapsed bodies in a killing spree
Balm for a tormented mind
If heaven is comfort, I am God
Serving you as need
I will accomplish what I desire
As I watch you bleed

All things I´ve done are not trapped in the past
Making myself feel alive
Haunting visions of bloodshed kills
These are the corpses I hide
If I cannot kill you
How can I be satisfied?
The grave was dug, hiding place
Here I can be free

\------ Lyrics ------/
Do you ever look at the past?
Learning how to use violence
Try to get mad, and you understand
How the Power comes by your Hand!

Untill it comes, you won't believe
Helps to erase the struggle within
Pratice my sense of pleasure
If I destroy your dreams instead,
Fightning the hard way to slip again
This is why i'm Addicted to violence...

Do you wanna fight?

Don't deny your compulsive ways
Answered myself, make me replay
The question is not what you want to be
The choice is always a part of me

Untill it comes, you won't believe
Helps to erase the struggle within
Pratice my sense of pleausure
If i destroy your dreams instead,
Fightning the hard way to slip again
This is why i'm Addicted to violence...

That's the feeling i can't explain
Smash my soul as a punch in the head
Take the anger inside of me
Let me ask
Let me see
The thing that sets me free!

Untill it comes, you won't believe
Helps to erase the struggle within
Pratice my sense of pleausure
If i destroy your dreams instead,
Fightning the hard way to slip again
This is why i'm Addicted to violence...

Lyrics:
And the night strikes you down again
Feeling lost as nobody's there
Contemplating your empty room
Vague memories cast the gloom

I Lie inside your head
I Lie immortally there

You buried all of your bones in me
All the dust and the stones
Covered them in a hole
Where you did try to hide
Why are you trying to hide?

I Lie inside your head
I Lie immortally there
I Lie inside your head
I Lie immortally there

I Lie inside your head
I Lie immortally there

I Lie inside your head
I Lie immortally there
I burn inside your head

Segundo single extraído do álbum Infinity.

VERSE 1
I live inside a cardboard box
And I can’t say it bothers me
It gets all wet if it rains cats and dogs
But it dries up eventually

Well, Inside:

CHORUS
I know no dreams and ilusions
I know no fears and delusions
This is no place for confusion
There’s absolutely nothing here…

VERSE 2
When summertime comes to town
Waves of heat don’t pass unnoticed
All the seasons seem upside down
Never require any of my focus

Cause inside:

CHORUS
I know no dreams and ilusions
I know no fears and delusions
This is no place for confusion
There’s absolutely nothing here…

BRIDGE
For so long I craved a wooden box
I hope someone will get me a wooden box
Whether or not it comes with a lock
I want a new model, sure there are plenty in stock

VERSE 3
Sometimes kids come to poke me
While grown ups prefer to drop pennies
My box must be lying here for weeks
Cause it doesn’t seem to disturb many

You know, inside:

CHORUS
I know no dreams and ilusions
I know no fears and delusions
This is no place for confusion
There’s absolutely nothing here!

Lyrics to "Stargaze":

Keep your hand away from your pocket
Fly away with me in my rocket

Feel the heat
Watch me burn
Come to me
I won't run

Alone, or not, I'll dance in the sky tonight

Keep your thoughts inside of your mind
Wait until the stars are aligned

Feel the power
In your heart
Come to me
Let's restart

Alone, or not, I'll dance in the sky tonight
